1) We suggest that you get a view of the Athens suburban area using the AIRPORT BUS LINE from the Arrivals Building exit. The bus ticket costs 2.90 euro p.p.(= per person) and is can be used within 24 hrs. on any of the Athens transport media. The airport busses run on a 24 hour basis departing every 20 minutes during the day time. Tickets may be purchassed from the bus driver, any metro station ticket sale office or the kiosk outside the arrivals building.
- Bus No. 94 takes you to the centre of Athens, Syntagma Square, accross the Parliament House.
- Bus No. 95 takes you to the terminal of ETHNIKI AMYNA from where you may connect to the Metro service.
- Bus No. 93 takes you at the Athens Suburban Bus Station of Kifissos, while,
- Bus No. 96 takes you through the Southern suburbs of Athens to the port of Piraeus.
2) THE
ATTIKO METRO , See the
Metro Map and ticket information.
The Metro Station is 200m. from the Arrivals Building and
the ticket costs 8.00 euro p.p. Departs every 30 minutes
from the airport to Athens centre whisking one into the
central part of town in only 40 minutes. At the end of
the airport Line you connect to the old subway line that
takes you all the way to the port of Piraeus.
SUBURBAN or PROASTEIAKOS RAILWAY.
The ticket costs 6.00 euro p.p. Departs every 30 minutes
connecting the airport with the Athens Railway Station
and the ATTIKO METRO line. Changing platform at
PLAKENTIAS Station you can take the METRO line and arrive
to the city centre and not only.
TAXI Service.
The taxi ride to Athens centre costs approximately 30.00
euro during daytime depending on the city traffic and
this includes luggage transportation and road tolls.
Taxis in Greece are allowed to take only up to 4 passengers
counting the children too.
PRIVATE TRANSFERS
Astoria Travel can organise all ground
transportation services including airport transfers with
meet & greet service. The price depends on the
destination point, the time of arrival and the. Transfers
between 20.00 and 08.00am are charged with extra night
surcharge.
