The "Thalassokosmos" (= aqua world) aquarium
in Crete, a completely new aquarium, located at the
village of Gournes, on the grounds of the former American
military base which was closed 11 years ago, on a 73.8
hectares plot, some 15 kilometers east from Heraklion on
