Tour 1. FULL DAY TOUR TO DELPHI
This tour
to Delphi will give you the opportunity to see
breathtaking scenery and experience the mystery and
intrigue of the so called by the ancient Greeks
"naval of the earth". Drive through THEBES,
connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus - LEVADIA
and the village of ARACHOVA to arrive at DELPHI. The
wild beauty and grandeur of the landscape, are
awesome and inspiring. Proceed through the sacred way
to the Athenian Treasury, the Castalia Spring, the
temple of Apollo, the sanctuary of the Pythia where
she expounded her predictions for the future, the
ancient ruins of the theatre and the stadium and many
other sanctuaries nested in a unique setting with a
dramatic backdrop of the Parnassos mountain. Visit
the museum with the archaeological treasures and the
unique bronze Charioteer,by Antinoos with his
haunting eyes. Lunch is arranged in the modern
village of Delphi and after lunch we make our way
back with a short stop at the village of Arachova
(famous for its bright multi coloured carpets) and

Tour 2.
FULL DAY TOUR TO ARGOLIS
Drive along the
coastal highway road to CORINTH CANAL (short stop)
� Proceed to MYCENAE and visit the archaeological site, with the remains of the
ancient city including the Lionesses Gate, the Tomb
of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra, the Palace etc. Depart
for NAFPLION, the first capital of modern Greece with
the Venetian fortress of Palamidi and the fortified
islet of Bourtzi. Stop for lunch. After lunch
continue to EPIDAURUS and visit the ancient theatre,
world famous for its remarkable acoustics. Return to
Athens, driving along the coastal road of the Saronic
Gulf. Arrival after 19.00.

Tour 3.
TWO DAYS TO DELPHI & METEORA (departs every Wedn. in March - Mondays,
Wedn., Thurs. and Saturdays in April).
1st
day:
Leave for DELPHI. Two hours at leisure in Delphi or optional
visit to
the archaeological site and the museum of Delphi in
order to explore the shrine of the Oracle and the
Temple of Apollo. Depart for Kalambaka, driving
through the central Greece cities of AMPHISSA, LAMIA
and TRIKALA and the Thessalian Plain, the granary of
Greece. Dinner and overnight in the picturesque
village of KALAMBAKA (a small town built at the foot
of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the METEORA
monasteries.
2nd
day:
Visit METEORA among striking scenery. Perched on top
of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air,
stand the ageless Byzantine Monasteries, where you
can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine Art. Return
to Athens via TRIKALA, LAMIA, THERMOPYLAE (visit the
monument of Leonidas, the Spartan hero who with his
300 Spartan warriors decided to fight against
thousands of invaders). Arrive in Athens after 19.00.

Tour 4.
TWO DAYS TO ARGOLIS & OLYMPIA (this is a
"special tour").
- 1st
day:
Athens - CORINTH CANAL (short stop). Drive on and
visit the theatre of EPIDAURUS world famous for
the remarkable acoustics. Drive on to picturesque
NAFPLION, the first capital of
Greece for lunch and after lunch continue to
MYCENAE where the Mycenaen culture flourished
during 1400 BC. Drive through central Peloponnese
area passing the cities of TRIPOLIS and
MEGALOPOLIS to arrive at OLYMPIA. Dinner and overnight.
- 2nd
day:
Early in the morning visit the Olympic Stadium,
where the first Olympic Games took place in 776
B.C. and the Museum, where among the masterpieces
you will admire HERMES OF PRAXITELES. Return to
Athens and arrival after 19.00.
